What Am I doing Right?

This is from Admiral Jenna Aston; Antares Fleet CO
Today I would like to acknowledge two AFC members who have been very instrumental in AF's development. Both of these individuals have put in tremendous effort behind the scenes and after talking with the AFXO, we both feel that these two have earned their promotions.
First off, Rear Admiral Tigh Webster is receiving a promotion to Vice Admiral! Admiral Webster has done alot of work in helping set-up our database, spearheading the soon to be revealed AF awards program, along with involvement in multiple other projects.
Next, Commodore Alexandria Taylor is receiving a promotion to Rear Admiral. Being an AFC member is about more than just excelling at your assigned position. Supporting the fleet on a global level is what it means to really serve the fleet, and Admiral Taylor has gone above and beyond in that respect.
Congrats to both!
Now, what the heck am I doing here to get it? Anyone here whom knows my track record knows exactly why I am asking this. I have actually had a bad track record. I had Horizon for about 6-7 months and by my fifth month, when we were under Bravo Fleet (When I was a TGCO), I had got promoted to Captain. Within a month of joining Antares, I got promoted to Commodore just because I was a TFCO and now I getting promoted yet again. Dang it. My promotion in character will not happen for a long, long time as it just does not make sense to do that yet.
I am just a bit floored here and really once I get to captain, I really do not care about rank as much.
