History

Personal History		Alex was born on Betazed to Andrea and Andrew Taylor. She had always had an interest in helping others out that it was only second nature that she'd become a doctor. She was trained to be a counselor on Betezed and then was trained as a doctor when she joined the Starfleet Academy. She managed to rank high in her class. Medicine was one of many things she loved doing, but as she saw that in order to advance her career, she had decided that she needed to take the bridge officer's test which she did. She passed the first time around. As most of her assignments needed a night watch bridge member, many times she took the night watch. She was still a doctor but she had more duties that she could perform on the ship and loved every moment of it. She quickly rose through the ranks all way up to being an executive officer. When Alex was serving aboard the USS Essex, she received a message from her father along with JJ Torres' father as both JJ's and Alex's mother's were hurt at work. Both decided to come home to take care of family. Many month's later, Alex returned to the USS Essex without JJ. Instead of being the Executive Officer, she took the only position she could take under the circumstances. She could not expect Admiral T'lar to hold her job open while she took care of her family. Instead she took the position of Chief Counselor and the ACMO where she can help the CMO when she was not doring her duties as Chief counselor. About a month or two after returning to the USS Essex, she was severely injured in the Holodeck. Due to modern medicine she lived, but with some side effects. She was left with some weakness on her right side. Alex had to walk with a cane for a period of time. She then later took the command of the USS Horizon and after that was destroyed, she took command of the USS Majestic.
