Physical Description		Mark is 5"10 of average weight and athletic build. He has fair hair, which is a mixture of a light blonde and a very light brown. Mark has light blue eyes, which his family said he inherited from his Grandmother, as her's used to stand out. He has no visible scars as of yet, but does have a heart shaped birth mark on his left hip.

Personality & Traits

General Overview		Mark is very shy when first put into new situations. However, when relaxed, his true nature can come out. To say he is the life and soul of the party is an understatement. He can be very bubbly and charming, most people easily like him and become friendly. Mark's sexuality helps develop his fun loving, devil may care attitute when it comes to his personal life, but when working, he takes it very seriously. Mark is very dedicated to his work and has his sights set high on reaching his full potential.
Strengths & Weaknesses		Strengths of Mark's include his ability to think on his feet and keep calm under pressure. He would aslo see his charm as a strength in more...dimplomatic situations, both between males and females. His main weakness is his tendancy to rush into things without thinking things through.
Ambitions		Mark's main amibtion for the foreseeable future is to eventually become a Chief Engineer himself. One day further down the line, he does wish to take command of his own ship, but that isn't a priority right now. In his personal life, he is hoping to make new friends on his current ship and if the opertunity presents itself , to open his heart up to someone again.
Hobbies & Interests		Mark is very musical, playing piano, clarinet and the violin. In his spare time he does like to play and even compose his own pieces. On things Mark's friends say about him on Earth, is that his main interest is to dance and have fun. He is also very interested in other social aspects such as throwing dinner parties for his friends.

History

Personal History		Early on Mark developed his interest in joining Starfleet, just like his parents. At 5 years old, he would try and sneak himself into his father's lugage before he went on mission with the USS Destiny. At school, he took a keen interest in how things worked, much to the detriment of his teachers as he frequently forgetting to put things back together. Despite being pushed towards a more medical side, with the constant trips to Starfleet Medical with his mother and sister, his engineering side won out. Across his remaining years before the Academy, Mark tailored his every move towards becoming an engineer. He chose the right classes, read books he knew he would encounter at the Academy, even acting out situations everytime he came across a Holodeck. His personal life during these years was rather traumatic. Both he and his family knew of his differences early on and came to accept it. However, some narrow minded classmates, did not and made his life hell. The constant name calling and pictures of his posted round school cause him to develop his devil may care attitude. It also helped develop his sence of humour. During his summer before the Academy, Mark met his first love, Alistair, who was going into the Academy under Flight Ops. It was a great summer, the happiest Mark had ever been. Fate would be cruel however and take a turn for the worst. Before the start of the academy year, Ali was involved in a freak shuttle accident and passed away, Mark wasn't the same. Slowly but surely he is coming round after his loss. His Acadmy years were uneventful to say the least. Mark kept his head down, worked his hardest, keeping his nose in a book, his hands occupied and his mind on something, just so he didn't have to face the pain. In time it, as well as his days at the Academy, came to an end.
