Mission: Dangerous Waters (Prologue)

Alex was about to board the USS Horizon when her twin sister Deanna came running in.

"I'm glad I did not miss you," said Deanna. Her sister was out of breath, but had something in her shirt. "Alex I have something for you."

"What?"

Deanna pulled out a white and black puppy for her sister to see.

"I can't have this," said Alex.

"Yes you can. I checked with starfleet. We are allowed to have animals on the ships."

"But....."

"No, buts. Take him. You will need him for those lonely nights."

Alex sighed. Her sister was not going to let up on her.

Alex then made way onto the ship. As she walked on it, work crews stood at attention as she walked onto the ship for the first time.
