Mission: The Two Faces of Alex
Location: Captain's Dinning Room

Both Alexandria's walked toward the dining room. AJ was already waiting for them outside. "Come on in AJ," said Alexandria King.

Turning she heard Alex's voice and smiled. "Thanks.." She said then followed the other two ladies into the dinning room. "I was actually glad you asked for the dinner... really need to get out of work more often." She said then grinned and sat down at the table.

"Not a problem AJ," said Alexandria King. She watched As Alexandria Slowly sat down next to AJ. "What would you two like to eat? I will have the chef whip something up."

"Something to eat sounds lovely, I'm starving." AJ said then smiled as she looked at the two Alex's. "So, what's been going on with you two that I've missed out on?" The blond chief medical officer asked looking from Alexandria King to Alexandria Taylor.

Alex King walked over to the Chef's window and order food for them all. Then she sat down right across from the two. "Well, Alex just beamed aboard today. She'll be taking command as soon as she is ready," said Alex.

AJ looked from the Captain to Taylor. She was little surprised that Alex was leaving the Horizon but felt Commander Taylor was more then qualified for the command. "Wow," she said then looked to Taylor. Glancing to Alex, "certainly going to miss you, but," she said then glanced to Taylor. "look forward to serving with you..."

"AJ, this was unexpected," said Alex King. "Command told me that I was to be transferred to a starbase that needs me which leave you with one of my best friends. I've known her for a long time. Like me, she is also a doctor. The one thing that is different is that she is also a trained conselor."

"I can fill in as chief counselor also if we need one," said Alexandria Taylor.

"My medical records should be arriving soon, but I wanted to give you a low down on my condition. As you can tell, I don't walk very well. I had an accident not that long ago. I had an head injury which left me with some weakeness. I'm going through physical therapy but its going slowly. I'm lucky to be alive though. The doctor also put in a chip in my head that I believe that I don't need it anymore. That chip was put in because of sleeping problems I was having. No matter how much sleep I had, I still was tired. I think it had to do with a certain member of the crew that was causing this problem. So I really would like it removed. I hate the idea of a chip floating around in my head.

The chief medical officer nodded. "I can imagine.... before we do anything I would ask that you give me enough time to go over your medical file and see what, if any, problems will arise if the chip is removed." AJ said to Taylor.

"Okay. Its only been in my head for maybe a week. If we can get rid of it, I'd like to get rid of it before I take command, but I will let you look over my records which hopefully should be over soon. Doctors are the worse patients. Normally you would have to hunt me down for a check up, but in this situation, if you need call me down." Alex Taylor said.

"That's refreshing to hear that you will come down there, not always fun having to threaten and hunt down like caribou." AJ said then grinned at Taylor.

"This time only." Sadness loomed over her. She was still upset with the way the doctor reacted her her leaving the Essex. "Normally you would have to hunt me down."

AJ smiled. "That's alright, I've got experience in tracking people down." She replied to Taylor and then glanced to King. "So what's going to happen to you, Captain? I mean, what lies in your future?" AJ asked.

"I'm being reassigned to a starbase that needs me," said Alexandria King.

"Wow, congratulations I guess." Ariana replied with a smile.

"Thanks. I had no idea this was coming," said Alexandria King.

AJ smiled. "How exciting. Do you know which starbase you will be on?" The blond chief medical asked as she reached for her drink and took a sip.

"Starbase Intrepid," said Alexandria King. "Its somewhere in the Beta Quadrant, but very close to the Delta too."

Ariana smiled brightly. "How exciting. Never been to the delta quadrant, though I've read few of the medical journals by the Voyager's EMH. The delta quadrant is so raw and unexplored, it really is the undiscovered country."

"Yeah, but to be honest, I am a little sad to leave," said Alex King. "At least this ship will be run by my capable friend. We will be both be exploring the unknown. Alex has been into the Delta quadrant, but Horizon will be heading toward the Gamma quadrant so you will see things you never dreamed of."

"Wow, the Gamma Quadrant. I was there briefly, so brief really not even worth talking about. It will be good to go back there." AJ said and then glanced at Taylor. "I wouldn't worry about her, I think she will fit right end and look on the bright side, Alex, she will have me your friend here to." She said then grinned.

'Yeah. We should be in contact range for a while. We have some promotions and the changeover to happen when Alex is ready," said Alexandria King.

'I won't be ready until I know if you can pull out that chip or not," Alexandria Taylor. "Last time I had no say on what they did. This time I have a say on what I want."

AJ nodded. "There is always something to be done around the ship. I like the ship, and the crew..." she then paused and looked at both her friends. "We are going to be out of contact? We're going to be alone out there?" The blond woman asked.

"No, we won't be all alone. There is other ships out there." Said Alexandria King.

"Good, had me there for about three seconds." AJ said grinning. "Alright, can't wait any longer have to ask cause girl likes some hot topics. Who's getting promotions, I wanna know before they do." AJ said grinning from ear to ear.

"My lips are sealed," said Alexandria King.

"well, your no fun and really don't know why I'm friends with you." AJ said teasingly then grinned at her friend. "I hate secrets, and surprises, not fond of them either." She said then grinned.

"Sorry, but hopefully you won't be waiting to long," said Alexandria King.

"Alright, fair enough, but don't expect me to tell you anything once you leave." AJ said grinning still as she looked over at the man who was serving the food. "Thank you.." She said and looked at her plate and then picked up her fork. "So, business aside, what's going on in your personal lives?" AJ asked.

"Nothing much," said both Alex's in unison.

AJ looked up from her food. "You two really need to get some personal lives... it'll help blossom your personalities. As it is right now... boring." She said then smiled.
