Mission: Dangerous Waters (Prologue)
Location: Sickbay/Conference Lounge

Once she and her staff had finished up with the Ferengi and they out of Sickbay, AJ only assumed they were being delivered to the other Ferengi vessel. She knew she needed to get to the conference lounge but AJ just needed a moment to collect herself after having lost a patient. Standing at the replicator in her office she ordered up a raktajeno to try sooth her. Once she had it in hand she walked out of her office and paused only long enough to tell Joran and Ashley they were in charge while she was out.

Making her way out of the medical department, Ariana walked down the corridor. She looked somber and muted, but this was her natural reaction to loosing a patient. IT wasn't that she took it personally, but it was more the beat down of, 'did I do enough, was there anything more that could've been done' mentality running through her mind. She had to deal with this, what really got Ariana was she knew what would come, emotions and expressions of loss.

Did that make her a good doctor, or a emotional person who couldn't separate herself from her work? She didn't know the answer.

Walking into the conference lounge she didn't see Alex or Jon, and she wasn't sure if any of the other senior staff was coming to this meeting. Walking over to the bank of windows she looked out at space and sipped her coffee cup as her eyes filled with emotions she struggled to press back down before anyone else arrived.
